Around this time of year conditions are perfect for these spectacular sunrises. I feel like there’s just no way to describe how the sun rises over the Cascades and reflects off of the clouds and for a minute or two, the whole world is golden. If you’re lucky, you get to see the shadow of Mount Rainier reflected on the clouds above. Amazing.

This past Saturday we had one of those incredible sunrises, and even more incredible than the sunrise was that I was up in time to see it coming, find the scattered parts of my camera and capture a few moments of a stunning sky over Seattle.

(Unfortunately, I did not have enough time to grab a sweater or something on my feet.)
These were taken from my apartment patio on the west side of Seattle in our Magnolia neighborhood. I believe I posted some of these last year around this time as well, but these are significantly better. Looks like maybe I’m progressing! Yay!

What an amazing way to start the day!
Happy Monday! Hope it’s a great week out there in the real world!
Always,
Aja Lynn

Aren’t they beautiful? I cannot understand how anyone can see such a gorgeous sunrise, or sunset, and not believe in a Creator.

Seattle has beautiful sunsets and sunrises, unfortunately, the pollution adds particles in the air that cause the reflections for beautiful color
