In Monday’s post (Seattle Center Lights: All Dressed-Up) I mentioned that we took the Kiddos to ice skate at The Seattle Center’s WinterFest Rink last week before they headed back to Oregon.
The rink is closed now, but it will be back next year, right after Thanksgiving, and stay through the New Year.
Our kids get a real kick out of it, and with the Space Needle and holiday atmosphere at The Seattle Center as a back drop, I’ve become a bit nostalgic for this (new to our family) Seattle holiday tradition.
If you live nearby and are looking for an inexpensive, family-friendly outing, I would definitely recommend checking out the ice rink at Fisher Pavilion at Seattle Center next year.
It’s fun, it’s festive … it’s got all the warm and fuzzies!

They rent skates …
… hot chocolate and such are readily available …
… and it’s pretty obvious you don’t have to be an expert skater to have a good time.

Lots of learners out there!
Meet you back here on Photo Friday!
Always,
Aja Lynn
