It was a busy, photo-filled week … but those photos are currently in the process of being sorted, weeded through and edited. (You know how it goes.)
Did I tell you that Mama has made her way up to our little corner of the Northwest? Yup! Tricked her I mean, talked her into moving closer as she begins a new chapter in her life. She’s been here for about a month getting settled, getting familiar and getting to work. And because she happened to have two days off this week, we took the opportunity to head over to Eastern Washington (somewhere I’d not yet been) and pay a visit to my Grandad and his wife who’ve lived there for just exactly as long as I’ve been married.
It was a quick, overnight trip but I took a whole lotta pictures.
Turns out, Washington has lots of different faces, and I got a good look at a whole bunch of them. While I’m working my way through the zillions of pictures I took this week, I thought I’d share here, some of the phone pictures I took on the road and posted to Instagram … just to hold us over until I get the good ones up.
Headed East, just getting into the Cascades.
On the road in Eastern Washington.
The amazing countryside surrounding my Grandad’s small town.
Mama & Grandad and some late night story-tellin’ around the dining room table.
Headed home, more gorgeous country.
Wild Horses Monument overlooking the Columbia River in the middle of Washington State.
And then it got green again, the traffic appeared, traffic got worse and we were home-sweet-home …
Can’t wait to show you some of the good pictures!
Happy weekending my friends! Have a great one!
Always,
Aja Lynn
